The conscious leader is decisive.
He knows that when decisions that must be made are left unmade, life does not wait. When he takes too long, issues compound and problems deepen. Unintended consequences fill the space.
He has seen that indecision is most often driven by not being clear on what he wants, or not accepting what he cannot have. Then he is like the child in the candy store, who cannot choose because he wants it all. When things move forward without him, as they must, he ends up with nothing, and complains.
He has seen that decisions cut through things like a knife and always involve a separation, a level of sacrifice. He knows that he has to increase his tolerance for loss if he is to keep pace with life.
When he is decisive, his life unfolds in a flowing dance between what life wants and what he intends.
The conscious leader keeps pace with life by not allowing decisions to be left unmade.
